sMiles App: Earning Bitcoin while on the Move
Developed by Startup StandApp, sMiles is an app that uses the Bitcoin Lightning Network to let users earn cryptocurrency for doing simple everyday things like walking, running, biking, playing games, or watching videos.
Where is it accessible?
According to Berezovsky, sMiles’ new feature is rolling out to 140,000 users. Reward locations are concentrated in major cities across the US and Europe, such as downtown Chicago and Kansas Cityโthe app is not yet available in the Philippines and other countries.
Moreover, Berezovsky shared that sMiles plans to expand its functionality with features like in-store deals and surveys to engage users and benefit brands. The goal is a self-sustaining ecosystem that rewards players and points users to brands.

Through the Bitcoinverse, the latest feature added to the sMiles app, which resembles a Pokรฉmon Go as it uses a map to direct users to real-world locations where they can find secret stashes of satoshis. Users can claim the reward by following a big, orange Bitcoin logo. The rewards paid out via Bitcoinโs Lightning Network.
