About Sheila Lirio Marcelo, CEO & Co-Founder of Proof of Learn:

Sheila Lirio Marcelo has more than 20 years of leadership experience in internet consumer marketplace businesses, including as the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Proof of Learn, a Web3 learning platform with a mission to unlock accessible, high-quality education across the world. She also currently serves as a Venture Partner at New Enterprise Associates (NEA).

Ms. Marcelo previously founded Care.com in 2006 and took it public in 2014, and where she was Chairwoman and CEO until early 2020, when the company was sold to IAC. She is a Henry Crown Fellow with the Aspen Institute, a Young Global Leader of the World Economic Forum, was awarded a Marshall Memorial Fellowship and is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. 

She was just named on Forbes 50 Over 50 and SUCCESS Magazine’s Woman of Influence 2022. Ms. Marcelo earned a B.A. from Mount Holyoke College, which also conferred upon her an honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters in 2015. She has a J.D. and M.B.A. with honors from Harvard University. In 2014, Marcelo became the youngest recipient of the Harvard Business School Alumni Achievement Award.

About Kevin Yang, Co-Head of Product & Co-Founder of Proof of Learn

Kevin Yang is a technology entrepreneur and Stanford Computer Science alum, specializing in mobile apps and crypto. He previously helped build and scale, with McDo’s mobile team, the Philippines’ leading mobile fast-food delivery app McDelivery to over 10 million users and top 3 in the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. He was previously founder & CEO of Wyng, one of the Philippines first micro mobility companies. He’s also shown a passion for teaching CS, previously as a Stanford student lecturer for CS50, CS + Social Good.
