FTX Sponsors Axie Infinity Scholars to be Managed by Filipino-led Yield Guild Games
FTX, one of the world’s busiest exchanges, collaborated with Yield Guild Games, a Filipino-owned gaming guild, to sponsor more players in their profit-sharing Axie infinity scholarship program.
FTX publicly announced that it will sponsor 137 new Axie Infinity scholars through funding for breeding new Axies. This will expand the current 4,600+ scholars that Yield Guild Games already have. (Read more: Yield Guild Games Raises Funding To Bring Gamers to the Metaverse)
FTX scholars represent 81 players from the Philippines, 25 from Indonesia, 10 from India, 15 from Latin America and 6 from Brazil.

Further, FTX also closed some major sponsorship deals with virtual league sports this year, including Major League Baseball and National Basketball Associations (NBA) Miami Heat.
