The Philippines ranked 9th in the 2025 Chainalysis Global Crypto Adoption Index, continuing its decline from a peak of 2nd place in 2022 as DeFi adoption lags behind regional peers.
The Philippines’ declining rank indicates that while crypto adoption remains robust, the country’s growth has slowed compared to other nations in the region.
With the bear market still ongoing and the collapse of crypto firm FTX in November last year, cryptocurrency adoption in the Philippines has significantly declined over the past year.
