To empower the artist group of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) in Baguio City, blockchain technology company Bitshares Labs Inc. (BLINC) forged a partnership with the executive search firm specializing in senior management positions Harper and Hill (HARPER & HILL). The two signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) to utilize non-fungible tokens (NFTs) in support of local artists. 

The Partnership

In a statement, the firms noted that the partnership will center around the creation of NFTs derived from artworks produced by the UNESCO Creative Artists Group of Baguio City. This group, recognized for their skills and commitment to safeguarding cultural heritage, is composed of a collective of artists who have actively contributed to the advancement of the arts in the region.

As per the agreement, HARPER & HILL will be responsible for pricing, artwork selection, and storytelling associated with each NFT to ensure the authentic capture of the artistic vision and essence. Meanwhile, BLINC will leverage its expertise in blockchain technology to facilitate the minting and digital marketing of the NFTs on renowned platforms like Opensea, Objkt.com, and Pentas.io.

On June 24th, the signing of the MOA occurred at the BLINC Headquarters attended by representatives from both organizations including; Mr. Jan Emmet Yngson, CEO of Bitshares Labs Inc., and Mr. Angelo Cenon Valdez, President/CEO of Harper and Hill.

 In 2022, BLINC organized “Coffee and Meetup: Tara sa Baguio as a Friend” event to educate its interns and graduates in Baguio on the fundamentals of web3.
