I’m glad that Lyman, one of the he last meetup’s attendees and ardent Bitcoiner, suggested we cover Lightning wallets in the following meetup.
Many of us deep in the Bitcoin rabbit hole are often surprised that many still haven’t touched Lightning Network.
It’s a magical experience!
We’ll cover at least these:
- Quick intro to Lightning
- Various Lightning wallets
- Custodial vs self-custodial and their trade offs
- Downloading and setting up a Lightning wallet
- Sending and receiving Bitcoin on Lightning
- Group activity: pass around a Bitcoin Lightning Torch
- Final test: pay for your restaurant bill in Lightning (prepare to buy some sats from someone in the meetup. Bring cash!)
