Filipino-developed NFT Game Anito Legends to Open Early Access

Anito Legends, a Filipino folklore-inspired play-to-earn game, announced recently that is now set to launch early access version of the game. Aside from this, the developers shared more updates and improvements players will enjoy along with the release.
According to the team, they have implemented Cloud Save and the Player vs. Player (PVP) battle system. They noted these two as “key features that are extremely significant to the game’s early access release this August 2022.”
They explained that Cloud Save will allow players to sync and access their game data across all devices where Anito Legends is currently playable. Currently, Anito Legends is available on PC, Mac, Android, and iOS devices.
PVP, on the other hand, lets players match and fight against other players within the game, offering another exciting game mode for competitive gamers.
Last June, Jayvee Fernandez, the CMO and Co-founder of Anito Legends, priorly announced the launch dates for the player-vs.-player feature to open by early July while the beta launch will kick off in August with a community tournament with prizes for the leaderboard. “Letting our beta testers utilize Cloud Save and PVP before early access helps us make everything work efficiently and securely on the back end. This provides a smooth and convenient gameplay experience for our player base and community,” Garayblas explained.
What is Anito Legends?
Anito Legends is a homegrown roguelike auto-battler game based on Philippine folklore. Its players take control of a team of “Anitos” to conquer towers and earn rewards. There are currently four Anito classes available for launch; the Kiwig, the Sarangay, the Tikbalang, and the Siyokoy.
The game will essentially have two modes – an adventure mode where players can earn rewards to level up and strengthen their Anitos, and a more competitive PVP mode where players can compete to earn more valuable rewards. The game also uses a dual token system with $LARO as the governance token and $GINTO for the utility token.
