InvestaX, a Singapore-licensed tokenization software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform, announced its integration with Base, the layer 2 EVM scaling solution from Coinbase Technologies, Inc.

The media release notes that the move positions the platform as Asia’s premier licensed tokenization engine, offering issuers a comprehensive solution for efficient, compliant real-world asset (RWA) tokenization.

BASE is a layer-2 protocol that enables fast, low-cost, and secure transactions on Ethereum. By integrating BASE, InvestaX will be able to offer its issuers a more efficient and cost-effective way to tokenize their assets and make them available on-chain.

In addition to the integration of the SaaS platform, InvestaX has also connected to additional Coinbase infrastructure, including the Coinbase Prime Web3 Wallet and Coinbase Prime, to deliver a seamless user experience. It is a self-custodial digital wallet that supports a wide range of crypto and digital assets.

“Our securities licenses now connect directly to the BASE public protocol and Coinbase Prime Web3 Wallet, providing a seamless end-to-end offering for real world asset tokenization. There are no other licensed platforms in Asia that have these capabilities, and we are honored to be the first in the market to support Coinbase and their institutional clients and investors,” InvestaX wrote

It was noted in a statement that through the integration of the Coinbase Prime Web3 Wallet, InvestaX users can securely store their RWA/STO tokens within their wallet when investing and trading on the platform.

“We are excited to become the first APAC based licensed tokenization engine to launch on Base… This launch is a testament to our years of commitment to obtain necessary licenses and building on public protocols (not private), providing issuers with a comprehensive solution for launching and managing their assets,” InvestaX CEO and Co-founder Julian Kwan stated.

Kwan further noted that, With BASE and the Coinbase Web3 Wallet integrated into their platform, InvestaA is now able to offer “a complete lifecycle experience and bring institutional grade exposure on-chain.”

In September, Base transitioned from exclusive developer access to public availability, aiming to expand its use cases for public companies. However, challenges emerge as a Solidus report discloses the infiltration of over 500 fraudulent tokens on the Base network, resulting in a trading volume of $3.7 million.

In 2021, InvestaX unveiled the outcomes of its Singapore Variable Capital Company (VCC) structure initiative, known as Project e-VCC. The project aimed to explore the technological, legal, and practical feasibility of tokenizing the Singapore VCC using a blockchain-native structure, marking a global first.

InvestaX has a sister platform called IX Swap, dubbed as the world’s first automated market maker for RWA.
