Axie Infinity’s Ronin Bridge Set to Re-open on June 28
According to Sky Mavis, the addition of these validators will “further secure the transactions of their community members.”
Axie Infinity’s sidechain Ronin Bridge is set to re-open on June 28, 2022, the blockchain game’s developer announced.
It is remembered that the operations of Ronin Bridge and decentralized exchange Katana have been halted late at night on March 29 after suffering an exploit for 173,600 Ethereum (ETH) and 25.5 million USD Coin (USDC) which are worth a combined $625 million.
Sky Mavis then announced that the Ronin Bridge is set to be “redesigned” and underwent a security upgrade and several audits.
“In order to become the gold standard when it comes to security, we are in the process of a second external audit led by Certik. This audit is expected to take 15 days. If that audit comes back clean, we will be able to reopen the bridge in the middle of June,” Sky Mavis announced before May ended.
According to the community announcement of Sky Mavis, the re-opening will require all validators to update their software, but validators have been informed regarding next steps to upgrade their validating node.
Last April, it named the five new validators of Ronin Bridge, namely: Delphi, Animoca Brands, Dialectic, Nansen, and Stable Node.
Where according to Sky Mavis, the addition of these validators will “further secure the transactions of their community members.”
