The Bicol Blockchain Conference 2023 will take place on November 17, 2023, at the Bicol University College of Engineering Gymnasium in Legazpi City, Albay. This year’s theme will be “Empowering Industry Innovation Through Blockchain.”
BBC 2023 is a one-day event that is considered to be the most significant gathering of blockchain innovators and industry leaders outside of Metro Manila. This event will highlight pioneering products that span various industries.
The organizers aim to attract 300 participants, including developers, entrepreneurs, investors, policymakers, academics, students, industry professionals, enthusiasts, and the curious, to explore the transformative potential of blockchain technology.
Furthermore, the conference aims to stimulate economic growth in the region by promoting an environment that encourages innovation, which will ultimately create numerous job opportunities and attract significant investment.
In a statement, they noted that the blockchain conference will promote the region as a global epicenter for blockchain technology.
“We envision Bicol as a global hub for blockchain innovation, where the brightest minds come together to build the future of technology,” said Melissa Mesias, Conference Director of the Bicol Blockchain Conference 2023.
She also emphasized that they believe blockchain has the potential to revolutionize various industries and unlock vast job opportunities and investments in the region.
The first BBC was held in 2022. It was organized by local blockchain-focused startups Ownly and SparkPoint, and co-presented by SparkLearn and MetaGaming Guild. The conference aimed to foster discussions on blockchain technology, Web3, and the metaverse, as well as showcase the innovative projects of local startups.

“Attendees will learn about the latest trends and developments in the blockchain space, gain insights from industry leaders, and forge connections with potential collaborators and investors,” the statement reads.
