“We are excited to host one of the biggest blockchain events in our region — BBC. This would help the hyperlocal community to learn more about the power of a decentralized economy through blockchain technology. The ability to build where you are, regardless who you are, is a strong affirmation to motivate builders from the countryside to start innovating in tech to help their local digital economy grow while working on their respective provinces and regions,” Ismael Jerusalem, CEO of Ownly, said in a statement.

Jerusalem, along with Cruz Macapagal and Mesias, are among those that signed the solidarity statement pledging their commitment to support blockchain adoption in the Philippines during the Global Blockchain Summit, held last October 26-27, 2022, at the Bataan People’s Center in Balanga City, Bataan.
