Pouch.ph, a Bitcoin payments platform, recently launched its new ‘Send Globally’ feature. This new addition will offer its customers, including expatriates in the Philippines, instant, affordable, and secure money transfers to any US bank account, according to the company’s press release.
Send Globally Feature
With this new feature, Pouch.ph aims to provide its users with seamless and secure transactions, with transfers typically taking only 0 to 3 days instead of weeks. The firm asserts that implementing this feature will offer its users benefits such as faster processing times and a reduced risk of payment delays caused by intermediaries.
The ‘Send Globally’ feature will also offer competitive rates, ensuring affordability for both local businesses and individual users, according to Pouch.ph. Currently, it allows transfers ranging from a minimum of $1 to a maximum of $1,000.
“We strive to improve cross-border payments and make digital finance more inclusive for all. Enabling Send Globally for Pouch customers is a part of this,” said Pouch CEO Ethan Rose.
Rose further mentioned that the platform is easily accessible to Filipinos from various backgrounds. With ‘Send Globally’, there is no longer a requirement to visit a physical bank branch to send money from the Philippines to US bank accounts.
In a statement, Pouch revealed its plans to expand support for transactions exceeding the current limit in the near future.
Users can access this new feature by updating to the latest version of the Pouch.ph app, available on both Google Play and the Apple Store.

Sending:
- Tap “United States”
- Tap Send
- Choose “Lightning”, “Bank Transfer”, or “Scan/Paste”
- Enter your recipient details or scan/paste a lightning QR code
- Enter Amount (in Php)
- Confirm the exchange rate
- Send
Receiving:
- Open the App
- Tap “Send Globally”
- Tap Receive
- Choose “Create Invoice”, or “Bank Deposit”
- Enter an amount and optional memo and get a one-time use QR code to share.
Bitcoin Payments via Pouch.ph
As of June 2023, according to Pouch.ph, the number of businesses and merchants accepting and processing Bitcoin payments via its platform nationwide has exceeded 400. Aside from Boracay, BTC is now also accepted by some merchants in key cities like Cebu City, Dumaguete, Iloilo, and Bacolod City.
The payment firm also offers a “Batch Pay” feature to partner merchants, simplifying payroll procedures and facilitating instant fund transfers to employees, suppliers, and other recipients.
Recently, Pouch and Neutronpay partnered to extend their Bitcoin payment services to businesses in Canada and Vietnam, offering them smooth and secure cryptocurrency payment solutions.
