What is Genopets?
Genopets is a role-playing game (RPG) that rewards its players for performing exercises like daily walks. The game is built on the Solana (SOL) blockchain. It also rewards active players with non-fungible tokens (NFTs).
For the player to be able to play the game, he needs to acquire one Genopet. Genopets are NFTs that resemble animal spirits. These NFTs share the player’s personality and are enhanced based on the achievements of the player. Their experience points (XP) reflect the changes to the Genopet.
The app will gather the player’s health data from wearables and data capturing devices like Google Fit, Strava, Fitbit, and smartphones. This data will be converted into XP to the player’s Genopet and will be rewarded with KI. Battle and Prediction modes are the avenues for players to start earning KI.
Genopets Guide: Introduction
Players have to go to Genopet’s official website to log in or sign up for the beta test. The player needs to register his email to be part of the waitlist. As soon as the user has created their username and password, they need to connect his Solana-based wallet to the account. When the account is fully verified, the user will receive a free Genopet to use and sell later to buy a non-fungible token (NFT) Genopet of his own. Having their own NFT Genopet grants access to other features of the game for them to earn more.
There are two tokens within Genopets: GENE and KI tokens.
GENE Token is a governance token and can be used for staking to increase earnings in the game. While KI token is the utility token earned for purchasing a Habitat. This enhances the statistics or attributes of the Genopets and for crafting Habitats.

Players will have baby Genopets to start with. Then it levels up to teen and adult level. There are PvE and PvP matches to gain XP as well. So, players can also interact with their friends and other players.
As the Genopet reaches a higher level, the owner can sell the free character into the market to purchase a Habitat and Genopet in return.
Habitats are essential to earning more KI as the player does his physical activities. Players are required to purchase at least one Habitat and a Genopet to be able to engage in PvE and PvP matches as they do their physical activities. Players also need Crystals to enhance their Genopets’ stats.
