December 14, 2018. A new blockchain-based healthcare platform, HEX Innovation Ltd., has entered the Philippines and has already finished briefing sessions with the country’s Ministry of Health. It also signed an agreement with the University of Perpetual Help Dalta Medical Center (UPHDMC) to create a blockchain-based healthcare platform.
The blockchain-based healthcare platform is said to make personal health information more secure, accessible, and manageable. It has already finished doing briefing sessions with the Philippines’ Ministry of Health and has signed a deal with a level 4 hospital, University of Perpetual Help Dalta Medical Center (UPHDMC).
“We have built trust for mutual understanding regarding Philippines medical process and healthcare blockchain technology through the briefing sessions with Ministry of Health, Philippines and major private and national hospitals in the Philippines.” – Mr. Alexander Richards, Chief Marketing Officer, HEX Innovation Ltd.
Together with UPHDMC, HEX Innovation will work in developing a blockchain-based healthcare platform. The partnership will also support the infrastructure for platform development, and the expansion of medical information and radiation dose information.
A Philippine-based MediXserve is also a blockchain-based platform that seeks to create permanent immutable medical histories for patients, which in turn can empower health companies and providers when giving advice to the patients. It believes that every patient shall have all their records, which includes every diagnosis and every medicine taken – all recorded in the blockchain. This information is owned by the patient and they have the option to reveal it to their doctors, hospitals, or insurance providers.
The Philippines’ The Cool Kids has also teamed with Boston-based blockchain healthcare company SimplyVital Health to help improve healthcare delivery in the country. With the partnership, The Cool Kids will be able to use SimplyVital’s Health Nexus, a healthcare-safe open source blockchain. By using the blockchain and Health Nexus, patients and healthcare providers can now update and get an immutable track record of every treatment and service store in the blockchain, which can also be accessed worldwide.
