Paytaca Unveils Tool for Token Creation on Bitcoin Cash

• Paytaca launched CashTokens Studio which enables users to create both fungible and non-fungible tokens on the Bitcoin Cash blockchain using the Cash Tokens protocol.

Filipino fintech startup Paytaca recently announced the launch of its CashTokens Studio. This tool allows users to easily create tokens (both fungible and non-fungible) on the Bitcoin Cash blockchain using the Cash Tokens protocol.

According to the announcement, CashTokens Studio was funded by the proceeds of the BitCats Heroes non-fungible token (NFT) mint. 

BitCats Heroes Club is an NFT collection that uses the CashTokens protocol on Bitcoin Cash. It consists of 10,000 unique hand-drawn digital images of cats. It serves as a preliminary showcase of the potential of Paytaca and CashTokens to build decentralized finance (DeFi) applications.

CashTokens Studio is a tool that enables users to easily create tokens, both fungible and non-fungible, on the Bitcoin Cash network using the Cash Tokens protocol. 

The site is now operational on the mainnet. However, it is still in beta and users may encounter some functionality issues due to ongoing development.

The developers have stated that instructional videos will be released in the near future. In the meantime, they noted that the interface should be intuitive enough to allow users to explore the possibilities.

KathNiel Token

Accordingly, Paytaca revealed that the the first token it created upon the mainnet launch is the KATHNIEL token. Paytaca stated that it is a meme-orial token for the breakup of KathNiel, currently one of the most popular loveteam in Philippine cinema.

“In loving memory  of the loveteam that defined a generation, Paytaca minted the KathNiel Remembrance Token called KATHNIEL… We are giving away these tokens for FREE. Simply download Paytaca then DM us here your Cashtoken Address,” they wrote.

Moreover, the firm added that it has already given away millions of KATHNIEL tokens to the love team’s fans. 

As a result of this initiative, Paytaca reported that on December 3,  it has experienced close to a hundred downloads of its Paytaca wallet in the last 12 hours, most of which are new users to both Paytaca and Bitcoin Cash.

Moreover, Paytaca recently co-hosted a Bitcoin Cash gathering in Hong Kong, where people shared their views and experiences regarding Bitcoin Cash and its future.

Moreover, according to Joe Taganna, President and CEO of Paytaca, the firm also has a partnership with Hongkong-based company CoinHero that operates more than 50 crypto ATMs across the region.

Other Paytaca News

In July, Paytaca secured $450,000 or ₱24.5 million in seed funding, intending to boost Bitcoin Cash adoption and enhance peer-to-peer payments in the Philippines. The funds aim to revolutionize the local payment landscape. Paytaca’s BCH wallet app, currently with around 10,000 downloads and 2,000 active users, plays a key role in achieving this objective.

In February, the firm also raised 350 BCH in a five-day funding campaign on Flipstarter. Then, the company revealed its future plans for the wallet, including the integration of CashTokens, SLP DEX, CashFusion, and Flipstarter. 

In 2022, Paytaca launched BCH-powered vending machines at Robinsons Mall North Tacloban in Leyte. The vending machines allowed users to make transactions using BCH for various purposes, such as buying food, paying bills, and more. 

In May last year, the firm had another funding round where it successfully acquired more than ₱7.5 million in equity-free pre-seed funds in Flipstarter.
