Binance Academy, the educational arm of global cryptocurrency exchange Binance, has partnered with Coursera, one of the world’s leading online learning platforms for blockchain education. The collaboration seeks to offer global educational opportunities through a diverse range of learning programs set to be launched over the following months.

“Education serves as the foundation for progress and innovation. This belief has been instrumental in guiding Binance Academy, as we work towards making the groundbreaking realm of blockchain technology accessible to all,” Yi He, co-founder and Chief Marketing Officer of Binance, expressed.

In a statement, they disclosed that the upcoming programs will encompass a wide array of subjects and cater to individuals at various levels of expertise. Whether seeking a foundational understanding of blockchain, web3, and crypto technologies or aiming to develop the necessary skills for a career in the blockchain industry, these courses will be tailored to meet diverse needs. 

A Leap Forward in Web3 Education

According to He, the collaboration will leverage the collective strengths of these two industry leaders to provide “best-in-class education that will drive adoption and build the foundations for Web3.”

Marni Baker Stein, Chief Content Officer at Coursera, expressed their excitement with the partnership noting the importance of acquiring proficiency in blockchain, web3, and cryptocurrency due to the emergence of job opportunities within these domains.

“We’re excited to partner with Binance Academy to expand course offerings in these areas. With fully online and self-paced content taught by experts from Binance Academy, learners everywhere will be able to equip themselves with crucial skills to thrive in the dynamic blockchain industry,” she added. Every learning program will comprise multiple courses, incorporating video lectures, assigned readings, interactive assessments or projects, and graded evaluations.

Upon successful completion, learners will receive a digital certificate of completion, a valuable credential that can showcase their knowledge and unlock promising prospects in this rapidly expanding field.

The Value of Coursera’s Online Learning Platform

Coursera is an online learning platform that provides courses in a flexible and accessible way. Through its online program, learners can access educational content from anywhere and at their own pace.

Last month, Binance introduced its first-ever summer internship program, welcoming 23 university students from different nations. Known as the Advanced Management Program (AMP) Summer Internship, its primary objective is to offer practical experience and cultivate talent within the web3 industry. 

In April, Binance launched Binance Sensei, an AI-powered tool that provides comprehensive information on the web3 and blockchain industries. The tool uses advanced ChatGPT technology to provide clear and easily understandable answers to user queries.

Philippine Universities Blockchain Initiative

The academy’s initial phase of Southeast Asia University Tour came to a close in the Philippines, where it visited five educational institutions in its effort to spread blockchain education.
