For the month of July, read this article to find out what’s next for Axie Infinity, Gods Unchained, Splinterlands, Sandbox and many other blockchain games.

Sky Mavis’ Axie Infinity has released Land Staking and started Axie Infinity: Origin Phase 2. Axie land owners have long waited for some utility from their virtual estates and now they can use their assets to earn Axie Infinity Shards (AXS).
Axie Origin Phase 2 has commenced and players’ inventory, which has moonshards, runes, and charms, are reset. A lot of balancing was done on the card traits as well. The Axie Team has placed a huge amount of AXS for Season 0 for the top 10,000 players. The total amount of AXS set for this season is 49,157 AXS. The season will end on July 28.

Colonize Mars is undergoing some upgrades on the game’s resources which could be a big boost for its economy. The developers made four chains of resources for players to use. This gives more gameplay and missions for the player to enjoy.
Colonize Mars is a strategy simulation game based on the Wax Network.
Farsite’s Alpha Release will be on July 7. It was originally set for June 21 but the developers opted to delay the release date. This was to ensure the game’s features be provided accordingly to testers, especially its own scholarship system called Pilot Academies. It is a rental system for starships.
Farsite is a decentralized finance (DeFi)-powered economic strategy massive multiple online role-playing game (MMORPG). The player will be on a deep space flight after a post-apocalyptic event that happened to Earth. The survivors have to explore the vast space for resources.
ImmutableX’s Gods Unchained has announced the opening of nomination for the Council of Mortals. Each member will represent four seats based on their interest: Seat of the Arena, Seat of the Curators, Seat of the Illuminary and Seat of the Favored. Each seat represents different interests and categories that make up the Gods Unchained community. Seats will be held for a six-month term, with a maximum of two consecutive terms to be served at one time. A Council Member can only be elected to one seat at a time, meaning that in the case that someone is eligible to be elected to multiple seats, they must choose which seat they occupy.
The developers also announced GODS Token Staking. 1 Million GODS Tokens is also rewarded to eligible Gods Unchained citizens.
Gods Unchained is a card battling game where users can receive their first deck of cards after creating their account. Cards can also be traded with other players.
The Harvest is a free-to-play MOBA Shooter game and it is enrolling alpha testers for the month of July. Players need to have heroes to be able to play the game and earn from winning matches. Eventually, players can also purchase NFT cards to enhance their NFT heroes and purchase virtual lands in the future.
Darewise’s Life Beyond is a massive multiplayer online blockchain game (MMO) and has announced its Open Alpha to players who want to test it.
The storyline of Life Beyond is that players have to explore the planet Dolos and craft weapons and materials for them to get rid of the aliens and start their own communities.
Early access started last June 29 and Open Alpha will start on July 6.
Mytheria: Clash of Pantheons is currently on open Beta. Mytheria is a card battling and trading game, similar to Gods Unchained but based on Eastern mythological beings. Players are given a free deck but to participate in the tournaments, the player needs to have at least 10 non-fungible token (NFT) cards to join. This game is built on the Binance Smart Chain.
The Sandbox’s Land owners should be excited about this announcement. The Sandbox will be migrating its land plots to Polygon (MATIC) blockchain. This move will greatly help land owners facilitate transactions with lesser gas fees.
The Sandbox also recently partnered with Coinbase. Users of the platform can log in and transact using their Coinbase accounts.
The Sandbox is a virtual platform where game developers can create games over land plots, gamers can play and test out these virtual games and landowners can lease their land to players and events.
Splinterlands has announced its new formats: Wild and Modern. Players can play both formats but both have separate rankings and reward systems.
The team of Splinterlands also opened the details of its application programming interface (API) for developers to work with.
Splinterlands is a card trading and battling blockchain game built on the Hive network.
For fans of Zombie shooting games, Wagyu’s Undead Blocks will hold its first tournament with a prize pool of $20,000. Players have to shoot as many zombies as they can to be able to top the leaderboard in this tournament. The tournament will be from July 8-10.
Undead Blocks has labeled itself as a kill-to-earn first-person shooting game (FPS). Players can upgrade their weapons and survive a wave of zombie invasions. Players can earn UNDEAD tokens by playing the game.
