In our list of cost-free airdrops, Grass is one of the most “sulit” campaigns as its airdrop participants can earn purely by referring new users.

In this article, a deeper analysis of what Grass is, how to join its airdrop campaign, and the question, “is it really safe to use this platform?” will be discussed.

Grass Introduction

Grass (https://www.getgrass.io/) is an innovative application developed by the Wynd Network. Basically, it allows users to sell their unused internet bandwidth, offering a “passive income” from their view of the internet.

“Everyone has an internet connection with a certain amount of bandwidth per month, but almost nobody uses all of it,” the team advertised. “Grass is a network for selling that bandwidth to corporations & institutions, with a suite of applications that do this in the background of your phone or computer. The end result is passive income for selling a resource you didn’t even know you had.”

Technically, GetGrass is an AI-based, blockchain-utilizing network that lets verified companies ‌use their users’ idle bandwidth without accessing their personal information.

To make it possible, it trained an AI tool that directly scrapes the internet for web data that will then be curated by Grass using its own network of nodes.

“I’ve been using Grass since the beginning of the beta phase and have consistently been impressed. The concept of monetizing unused bandwidth is clever, and Grass stands out by rewarding users with its unique tokens, ensuring payment and network ownership,” a user wrote.

Is Using Grass Safe?

When a user creates a Grass account and gives their consent, Grass will automatically collect the unused bandwidth of the user.

According to the developers, when the Grass extension asks a user to “read and change all your data on the websites you visit,” it means that it is just a standard permission and the network would not have access to their personal information. The only information that Grass gets is the user’s email address that is used to create an account.

What is Grass? Turn your unused bandwidth into passive income

“When you use the app, your personal data is not accessed or utilized by either Grass or Wynd Network.  Period.  Our browser extension does not have access to any data on your computer.  You can use Grass with confidence knowing that your personal data is safe and secure,” Grass assured.

Grass also promised that companies, entities, and institutions that buy the unused bandwidth of the participants are monitored to make sure that it cannot be used in fraudulent activities:

“All buyers are vetted and monitored, ensuring no misuse or illegal activity. Grass only uses up to 0.3% of your bandwidth at any time and will not affect your internet speed as it functions only when you’re not using your full bandwidth.”

In Grass, users automatically earn “passively” and receive them directly on their account. But this is not the airdrop itself.

Its upcoming airdrop is hinted at by the launch of its Grass Points, a pointing system that follows a tier system.

Basically, Grass Points is just Grass’ referral system, where participants can obtain crypto points by referring more users.

How to join Grass Airdrop

  • Step 1: Go to https://app.getgrass.io/
  • Step 2: Go to the rewards tab on the main platform.
  • Step 3: Secure a passcode to refer a new user.
  • Step 4: Monitor the points.

Moreover, Grass is also now on its incentivized beta version, which means that those who use the platform during this time can also accumulate points.

According to the team, rewards will be distributed when the main network goes live. The launch date is still unconfirmed.
