Update August 9, 2018: Ripple Wallet is now live on Coins.ph Android App!

Bitpinas is able to confirm with Coins.ph that it is testing a Ripple (XRP) integration in its popular wallet app, along with its plans to integrate XRP in CX, Coins.ph’ crypto exchange trading platform.

Ripple on Coins.ph

In an interview, Coins.ph head of cryptocurrencies, Colin Goltra, told Bitpinas that they have rolled out XRP integration to a limited number of randomly selected participants. A number of these trial users have posted screenshots of their Coins.ph XRP wallets on Twitter. XRP will be one of the wallets immediately found on the app’s dashboard, and users can freely swipe between the other wallets, including the PHP wallet.

As of today, the trial is closed for new participants. “We’re still gathering data and deciding on our level of support for XRP”, said Mr. Goltra in a statement. He confirms that there’s no definite date yet for the general release of XRP wallets across all Coins.ph users.

XRP on CX

Mr. Goltra reaffirmed Coins.ph’ commitment to integrate XRP on CX, the company’s cryptocurrency exchange platform. XRP support was announced during the launch of CX. A user can verify this information by going to CX’s main dashboard and checking the trading pairs on the upper left side of the page.

At the moment, CX users can trade PHP to the following cryptocurrencies:

  • Bitcoin
  • Ethereum
  • Bitcoin Cash

In the future, CX will support XRP and Litecoin.

Coins.ph is a mobile wallet that allows its users to exchange PHP to cryptocurrencies like bitcoin, bitcoin cash, and ethereum. Users can also buy mobile load, pay bills, buy Beep card, and donate to charities using bitcoin on the app through its partnership with GavaGives.

Coins.ph is a holder of virtual currency (VC) exchange and electronic money issuer (EMI) licenses from the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP).
